Dr. John C. Burtenshaw
Dr. Burtenshaw is an Idaho native; he grew up in the Idaho Falls area where he graduated from Bonneville High School. He received an Associate Degree at Brigham Young University, and then received his Bachelor’s degree from Idaho State University in Pocatello, ID. He went on to receive his Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2003, from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. And continued on to Nova Southeastern University where he received his specialty training in Pediatric dentistry, and completed his residency at both the Miami Children’s Hospital and Joe DiMaggio’s Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Burtenshaw is just a big kid himself so when he’s not having fun with the children he treats locally, or traveling throughout the United States teaching and assisting other specialists in the Pediatric Industry. He loves to be with his wife Natalie and their four children taking family vacations, coaching little league baseball, spear fishing, golfing, traveling, and is still a strong Bonneville High School supportive for his graduating High School.
Dr. Burtenshaw is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists, the American Dental Association, and the Idaho State Board of Dentistry and is Board Eligible by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Dax D. Rapp
When he isn’t working on kid’s teeth, Dr. Dax is likely on his mountain bike headed up City Creek or Scout Mountain. And when the snow flies, you’ll find him skiing at Mink or Pebble Creek. Dr. Dax graduated from The University of Utah with a Medical Biology degree, and then received his dental degree from the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He earned his Pediatric Specialty degree by completing a two-year residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Tucson, AZ.
Dr. Dax is a certified Pediatric Dentist that loves to see even the smallest progress in a child’s experience at the dentist. Dr. Dax worked with the Indian Health Service for two years as a General Dentist and has been practicing Pediatric Dentistry for 6 years and will continue to practice “to infinity and beyond!”
Dr. Tyler Parrish
Dr. Parrish and his family are excited to finally be back home in Southeast Idaho. He grew up in Rigby and graduated from Rigby High School. He attended Brigham Young University, where he received a degree in Biology with a minor in Russian. Following graduation, he attended The Medical University of South Carolina, where he earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine. He has been practicing in Iowa for the last 2 years where he received exceptional training in all aspects of dentistry, including implants, root canals, esthetics, orthodontics, and pediatric care. Dr. Parrish loves dentistry and believes that a healthy and pain free mouth is important for overall health. He spends over 100 hours per year on continuing education to provide the best care he can to his patients.
Dr. Parrish is beyond excited to call Idaho home again, because of the great outdoor activities that are hard to find anywhere else. When he isn’t working he loves to be with his beautiful wife Sheena and their 3 children going camping, mountain biking, skiing, fishing and taking family vacations. He loves playing and watching sports. After living in the South for 4 years he can’t pass up a great SEC college football game. Dr. Parrish is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and American Dental Association (ADA).
